Hello, my name is Ray Ramirez, I was born in Alma, Michigan, U.S.A., but I grew up in
Marsing, Idaho. I started riding motorcycles when I was 18, just after my brother joined the navy. He was nice enough to buy a
Yamaha Virago about 2 months before joining and left the keys with our dad. I taught myself how to maneuver and stop quickly on
pavement and on gravel country road with his bike before going out and buying my own, (just incase I had any miss haps, I
wouldn't want to scratch up my new bike).
My first bike was a Kawasaki KZ1000, well it was about 8 years old but it was new to me.
After that I bought a bran new 1990 Honda Shadow VT1100. I rode that bike for 13 years before selling to a friend and moving here
to Thailand. I was lucky enough to find a 1988 Shadow VT1100 here on the internet just before my move. I have had it for a year
and half and it still runs good.
Before moving to Thailand I had many jobs, farm hand, ranch hand, truck driver, mechanic,
and of coarse handy man to all my friends and family, and the last job I had was working in a semiconductor production line.
After 13 years in the last job I decided to pack up and move to Thailand where the women are beautiful, the days are hot, and I
can ride my bike all year round. Now I am married to a beautiful Thai lady named Ooy. She enjoys going on the rides with me and
seeing the sights around Thailand. Mostly she likes talking to the other ladies and eating as often as possible, which is what
the ladies like to do when we are on a ride. But they all get along great and they like each others company.
I enjoy being part of a club that treats the ladies as part of the club and welcomes them
on the rides and to the meetings. I looked at many bike clubs when I moved here and most of them required me to have a Harley to
ride with them and almost all of them discouraged taking the ladies on the rides. Our club has a friendlier atmosphere by
allowing the women to participate in the rides and meetings. It also gives it more of a family feel to it since even the children
are welcome on the rides and events as well. So if you have a girlfriend, wife and/or children that you enjoy spending time with
and taking on rides then this is the best club you can be a part of.
